Bath Spa in Czech republic  Bath Spa in Czech republic

The Czech Republic is a landlocked country in the middle of Europe. Rather than as a country in the middle of Europe, we should speak of the Czech Republic as a country in the heart of Europe – after all, the heart is not to be found precisely in the center of the human body either.

The Czech Republic is located in the Northern Hemisphere, approximately in the middle of the European Continent. Its neighboring states are Germany (to the west), Poland (to the north), Slovakia (to the east, which together with the Czech Republic constituted Czechoslovakia until 1992) and Austria (to the south).

and now something about bath & spa in Czech republic…

the Czech spas are unique

The Czech bath spa tradition is an inseparable part of European cultural heritage, and thanks to the high quality of the natural therapeutic springs it has earned an exceptional reputation and respect in the European mind.

The tradition of balneology is younger than that of South Europe and in the Mediterranean lands with old patterns. However, bath spas in Czech republic have received extraordinary repute and esteem in the past in Europe and have finally become an important part of medicine and balneology. Mainly West Bohemian bath & spas have become famous in the last century. Therefore, it is no wonder that both balneology and hydrotherapy were for the first time lectured at the European University in Prague.

The main assets of the bath spas in the Czech Republic are their natural resources – mineral-rich water, gases and muds.

It makes sense to get away from chemical-based medicines and return to nature, using the resources she provides and tried and tested methods developed over centuries.
So where better to do this than in a country which can boast many firsts in the field of
bath & spa care. For instance, nowhere else on earth will you find so many mineral springs in one place as in West Bohemia’s bath spa triangle, the three points of which are formed by Carlsbad, Marienbad , Frantisek´ bath & spa resort. The first radon bath & spa in the world was established in the town of Jachymov.

Mineral springs

The composition, temperature and effects on the human body of mineral springs, which rise to the earth’s surface in the Czech Republic, differ immensely.
The hottest mineral spring in the Czech Republic is the V
ridlo in Carlsbad (73.4°C), which propels 2 000 l/min 14m into the air. Carlsbad’s other thermal spring waters which contain some 25,000-year old elements, are some of the hottest at 40 – 73.4°C.
However, in nearby Marienbad cold water rises to the surface at 7-10°C.
Mineral water from Luha
covice at 10-12°C is considered one of the most effective in Europe thanks to a high mineral and CO2 content. The highest content of CO2 in the country can be found in water from Konstantin´s bath spa rezort
Iodine-rich water is used in Darkov and Klimkovice as its composition is like that of sea water with a high mineral content. It is brought up to the surface from a depth of 500-1100m.

The use of the most advanced therapeutic and rehabilitative methods combined with traditional use of natural mineral water, mud, natural gas and the climate makes the Czech Republic a European superpower in the field of spa treatment and wellness. Their location in the heart of Europe means the Czech spas are also easy to reach.

In the balneologic bath spas it's possible to treat cardiovascular system diseases, gastrointestinal system diseases, gyneacological diseases, locomotive apparatus diseases, metabolic system diseases, neurological diseases, oncological diseases, psychological diseases, rheumatological diseases, skin diseases, urinary tract diseases. The climatic bath spa are very crowded, since due to the climate influences of the mountains, illnesses that cause respiratory and allergic problems, both in the children and in the adults, can be treated. The thermal bath & spas are situated in all of the territory. Czech bath & spas are quite equipped and offer high quality services. The specific bath & spa resort is by using of various types of mud and peat .
