The hottest mineral spring in the Czech Republic is the Vridlo in Carlsbad (73.4°C), which propels 2 000 l/min 14m into the air. Carlsbad’s other thermal spring waters which contain some 25,000-year old elements, are some of the hottest at 40 – 73.4°C.
However, in nearby Marienbad cold water rises to the surface at 7-10°C.
Mineral water from Luhacovice at 10-12°C is considered one of the most effective in Europe thanks to a high mineral and CO2 content. The highest content of CO2 in the country can be found in water from Konstantin´s bath spa rezort
Iodine-rich water is used in Darkov and Klimkovice as its composition is like that of sea water with a high mineral content. It is brought up to the surface from a depth of 500-1100m.
