Although the first source which mentioned the name of Hagyko dates back to the 13C, and it was a flourishing small market town, nowadays it is a village, which has only 1200 inhabitants. Nevertheless, its main attraction is in this. It is a peaceful, quiet place, where you can spend some nice days, and refresh your self in a comfortable spa.

The water here contains sodium-hydrogen-carbonic, fluorite and lithium, thus it is mostly recommended for those who have some kind of motor disease, or are after some kind of accident injury and rehabilitation. The complex has an open-air and an indoor part, with thermal pools, swimming pool and small pools for the children. Besides these, different kind of wellness and therapeutic treatments are also available like massages, mud-pack, or underwater gymnastics. The spa is situated in a nice, well-kept park, which is a perfect place to take a deep rest.

For example it is worth it to explore the surrounding land by bike. The tour around Lake Ferto is full of interesting sights and natural beauties.

The nearby Natural Park (Ferto Hansági Nemzeti Park) is a place where you can take a walk in a land which is rich in natural beauties.

If you are more interested in monuments, you should go by car. This way, you can visit the imposing Esterházy Castle in Fertod, the Folk Museum in Fertoszéplak or Nagycenk, where the Széchenyi family has some memories.
