Jászboldogháza bath spa resort
You may have some peaceful time if you visit the small spa of Jászboldogháza. The water contains alkali-hydro-carbonic, thus it is mostly recommended for those who have some kind of motor disease or rheumatism. There are two thermal baths and one small pool for the children.
History
According to the finds that archeologists found here, this land was inhabited by the Scythians, Sarmatians and the Avars during the time of the Great Migrations.
The first source which mentioned the name of the settlement dates back to the 15C. It seems like its inhabitants were Jazygians from the beginning. The name of Jászboldogháza once meant “rich people settled here”. When the Turks invaded Hungary, this land became deserted, but no one knows how and when. In the 17C it became the property of the Teutonic Order. In the 19C Jászberény town bought the deserted land from the Order. It became resettled only in the 20C, after the railway was laid down. The scattered farms were integrated into one settlement in 1946, and the centre became Jászboldogháza.
