Description
The therapeutic complex is situated in an all year-round maintained forest park, which offers opportunities for relaxing walks and recreation after therapeutic procedures.
Climatic conditions of the spa and its surroundings are characterized with the healthy, sunny, dry and not-irritant climate, which is also suitable for the heliotherapy. The whole complex is divided into a historical part, in which you can admire architectually interesting historical buildings, and a new part, which has signs of modern architecture.
Therapy is based on the effect of the natural iodine mineral water. Its positive effect on the vascular affections and the illnesses of the moving apparatus are proved. The natural iodine Číž spa is the only one of its kind in the Slovak Republic. With its natural iodine-bromine water it belongs to the rare sources of its kind in Europe.
Complex of the balneal therapy consists of:
- mineral cure (KRENOTHERAPY) with the natural iodine-bromine mineral water from the Hygiea well,
- classical hydrotherapy – ozone bath, treading bath, whirling bath, Scotch douche, Canadian bath, underwater massage,
- modern rehabilitation – group and individual exercises, yoga, different forms of special positioning, fitness, water moving therapy,
- reflex therapy – massages, classical massages – partial or complete, segmental massages, mobilization techniques and manipulation therapy of spine, joints,
- thermal therapy (paraffin wraps),
- light therapy – artificial sunlight, solux…,
- electrotherapy – ultrasound ionophoresis, galvanism, diadynamic, diathermy, diatron, magneto-therapy, interferential currents, laser therapy,
- inhalations,
- gaseous carbonic bath,
- hippo-therapy / rehabilitation with slow horse ride,
- dietary meals,
The therapeutic houses offer accommodation for about 220 patients, therapeutic house Milan is reserved for children patients with a total capacity of 60 beds:
- Therapeutic house Rimava:
The curative house Rimava has undergone an extensive reconstruction in 2005 and at the beginning of 2006. Now it offers accommodation in single-bed rooms as well as in two-bed suites and family suites. It houses a newly reconstructed restaurant with terrace and dining room with fast-food refreshments. It offers two new conference rooms with audiovisual and didactic technique for 2x40 people.
- Therapeutic house Mária:
It is situated in the historical part of the spa, in the middle of the balneal park. The capacity is 17 beds. The therapeutic house Mária is for demanding clients, who prefer high-standard accommodation. After reconstruction in 2004, there are connected signs of the modern design with the architecture from the past and the smell of nostalgia. Apartments consist of the living room, a bedroom and the sanitary facility.
Some rooms give you a view from a balcony. On the ground floor you can find a social area – social room with parlour games / table for cards, darts /, stable and regional exhibitions in the balneal gallery and the memorial room of the spa.
- Therapeutic house Neptún:
It is built in the historical part of the spa, near the HYGIEA well. We speak about a high-standard accommodation, which consists of 4 apartments, which has also a small kitchen as an accessory to the living room and bedroom. Every room has its own sanitary facility, TV, refrigerator.
Capacity of the accommodation is 12 beds. From the corridor, you can enter the balcony, from which there is a wonderful view of the comfortable spa street in the historical part. In the basement of the therapeutic house Neptún you can find sauna, from which you can enter the back of the house, where you can exercise in the fitness centre or in a gym, where there is also separate entry from the spa park.
- Therapeutic house Themis:
We also have in our offer this non-standard accommodation in a private house style. This accommodation is suitable mainly for those, who prefer privacy, or for families with children. As well as the accommodation areas, there is also a grassy garden around the house, with the possibility of barbecue.
Equipment of the house has a character of the familiar atmosphere, there is a big kitchen with the complete equipment, connected with the living room. On the ground floor, there is a bathroom with the sanitary facility and the corner bath. Upstairs, there are areas for sleeping and the shower cabinet. Equipment also includes electronic equipment / TV etc./ The capacity of the house is 6 beds.
- Therapeutic house Slaná:
The therapeutic house is situated in the historical part of the spa, in the area of a forest park. The capacity of the house is 14 beds, and it is divided into 1 apartment, 4 double-bed rooms, and 4 one-sided rooms. The therapeutic house had been completely reconstructed during September of 2005.
The furniture of all rooms is on the upper level with elements of modern architecture, sensitively jointed with architecture of past times. All rooms are situated on the first floor. On the ground floor of building is a social area - court room for approximately 20 people, the room of history of the spa and exposition of regional artists.
- Therapeutic house Margita:
This building is under reconstruction at the moment.
- Therapeutic house Milan:
Specially adapted therapeutic house Milan with the capacity of 60 beds is reserved for children. Therapeutic house is connected with the building of balneal therapy and LD Rimava by the corridor.
