Feldenkrais
This therapy, which derives its name from its creator Moshe Feldenkrais, promotes a greater awareness of our bodies. Through observation and the use of excises you become aware of unconscious habitual movements and faults can be corrected that leads to sparing the body and regaining the healthy gait. It aids mobility and flexibility and treats conditions such as sport injuries. It is also useful against chronic pain, abdominal complaints and rheumatic illnesses.

Figure shaping massage

A hard massage to adipose areas with products to combat cellulite will have a slimming effect. It will firm the skin when the massage is applied to flabby areas, activating the surface circulation.

Finnish sauna

A sauna heated to high temperature (80-120 °C) while the humidity is around 10%. Toxic materials are excreted from the body though perspiration. After leaving the sauna merge into cold water or cool down in open air. It will perk up circulation and strengthen the immune system. Not recommended in case of heart problems.

Fitotherapy
Herbal therapy. It is one of the most ancient ways of relieving pain and diseases. Using herbal infusions, heads, ointments or oils as a course can result in permanent amelioration.

Fluoride
Important in the development of teeth and bones. When there is not enough fluoride intake in the body, this can cause cavities to develop easier in the teeth. For expectant mothers and mothers with newborns, it is especially important to provide babies with the needed fluoride. Too much fluoride, however, is unhealthy. A sign of its abnormal quantities is spotted enamel. In Hungary, enrichment of drinking-water with fluoride is reasonable. Can be found in the flesh of seafish.


Fluorine / sulphur pack

Fluorine is an important component of cartilages and sinews so it is essential to reinstate it in case of abrasion. It is applied as a moist pack but can be used at home in form of ointments. By intaking sulphur the symptoms of arthritis can be eased.

Fluorine-iontoforesis
A dental treatment for reinstating fluorine in teeth and attenuate the sensitivity by intaking fluorine-ions.


Fog cabin

Inhalation cabin where herbal tisane or medical solution is inhaled for curing bronchitis.

Foot reflexology, foot massage

Reflexology is based on the idea that applying pressure to certain regions of the feet and hands can relieve ailments throughout the body. Mostly points on the feet are sensitive to indicate organ disorders when pressing them. Reflex zone massage is about to simulate the body’s self curing skills but also has a relaxing and refreshing effect.
Frigidarium
After using the hot rooms you would go into a colder room called frigidarium. The main function of the frigidarium is to close the pores after you where sweating in the hot rooms like the Tepidarium or the Calidarium. As a result of cold heart starts beating faster, the circulation perks up and the whole body is refreshed.

 

Facial

Finish Sauna

A dry heat chamber designed to open pores to release toxins wherein water is poured over hot rocks, combined with aromatherapy - usually pine - and a cold treatment, such as rolling in the snow, to close pores and increase circulation. Not recommended for patients with high blood pressure or heart conditions.

Fitzpatrick Scale

A scale developed in 1975 by Harvard Medical School dermatologist, Thomas Fitzpatrick; classifies a person's complexion and their tolerance of sunlight; used by many practitioners to determine how someone will respond or react to facial treatments

 

Flotation Tank

A relaxation and stress reduction treatment using a tank filled with enough salt water so a person can float effortlessly; often times, light and music therapies are used to enhance the process.

Free Fatty Acid

Inflammatory byproduct formed within the follicle when bacteria digest sebum.

A massage movement wherein the patient’s limbs are rolled back and forth between the therapist’s hands.
